Handmade paper roses, from The Winthrop Woman, published in 1959.
Each petal is hand cut and added to the flower individually.
Stacked together and tied with a simple ribbon, these roses make a stunning bouquet.
And as promised, the special project using the ‘map’ illustration from an old book. Each of these frames contains an original and very limited edition prose passage, handwritten on cobblestone-textured cream paper.

Your work has a real charm, the roses are beautiful

I found this site on StumbleUpon and I LOVE IT! I have a friend’s baby shower coming up and I’m going to make these flowers as for the centerpieces & decorations. I have old wallpaper I thought I would use along with pages from books, magazines and newspapers. Maybe maps too. That looked awesome! Are there any tips or a tutorial you can provide for me? Thanks!

Have you ever thought of burning the edges of the petals of these? In school I loved to write notes and then burn the edges. If you do it right, the edges will be just this rich brown, and i think it’s a cool touch.
